Rich leads the pursuit of Healthcare, Research and Innovation, and Educational Campuses, and a variety of Commercial and Residential projects for the U.S. Market for Genterra Enterprises.

Prior to Genterra, Rich Bowen served as Northern Arizona University’s Associate Vice President, Office of the President as well as President and CEO of the Economic Collaborative of Northern Arizona (ECoNA) which is the regional economic development organization representing a large majority of the Flagstaff area private and public entities. But, it is Rich Bowen’s volunteer work and advocacy in advancing the mission of Moonshot at NAECT that we honor him tonight.

TIMELINE

  • 2005 - Rich Bowen began working on a business incubator in 2005. Rich and NAU received a $2.5 million grant in 2005.

  • 2008 - Rich and NAU partnered with the City of Flagstaff to build a building on Innovation Mesa that opened in 2008. Rich worked with the City, NAU, and the community to form NACET as a stand-alone non-profit to operate the startup incubator.

  • 2008 – 2015 - Rich worked closely with NACET on funding initiatives and partnerships. The most notable being with NAU.

  • 2012 – Rich joined the NACET Board.

  • 2013 - Rich worked with the City of Flagstaff to build a business accelerator. Rich and the city acquired another grant from the EDA and the Arizona Commerce Authority Rich worked closely with the COF on development and construction of the new building.

  • 2016 – Rich became the NACET Board chair.
